Tower of Babel

I am a fool, and by my human and personal limitations, nothing can possibly ever change that. Limited by strength, will, intelligence, time, space, and I can imagine a multiple of other factors, I will never be able to obtain perfect wisdom and knowledge. I can not stand human counter parts who pride themselves as they are God, a being who has and is perfect wisdom and knowledge. As far as I can imagine a perfect being, if the human species were to be set on a imaginary measuring tape of a kilometre long, scaling intelligence, and God is a perfect 1000 meter, the average animal species a visual 0 meter, we'd be visually on 0 meter also. So much for my visualizations, excuse me.
Now God has made us in His image. Meaning that when he made us, He looked in the mirror and designed what He saw. However, even though we are created in His image, we are a limited version of Himself. We are bound by time and space. Our bodies are weak. We are in everything like God, limited.
As a human species, I believe we are trying, together, to move those limitations. That is what we do - that is what most of our time and effort are all about. We are rebuilding the tower of Babel to our satisfaction. We are trying to survive without the acknowledgement of a God. We are trying it on our own. Personally, as I try to look through our history honestly, I must say that we are doing a pretty good job. We are today less limited than we were from the beginning of mankind.
Anyways, as I were to believe in the God of the bible, the moving of our human limitations is not the point why He created us. As a human species, we have proven we can move the boundaries of our limitations just fine, and so will we in the future. What you imagine today would be made possible in the future, an approximate of that will probably really happen.
If we'd believe the bible, the point God is trying to make on earth in the past, the present and the future is that of love. As we human species are on the glorious road of moving the boundaries of our limitations, we, I believe, have not yet increased in love. It might actually be the contrary. Everyday gained altitude of the construction of the neo-tower of babel, we loose altitude in love. For as the bible says, God is love. And the higher we build the tower of babel, the more we remove our self from love.
I believe that the problem with moving our boundaries of limitation is not so much the action of doing so. It is rather the motivation preceding it. Our human nature tells us to try to make it on our own, without the rule of some superior super being to which we ought to subject our self. God has created us to be in union with Him, and know his creations rebel against Him. Since God is a supreme being He can easily take measures and erase us from time and space. However, love prevents himself of doing so and since He is love, He himself is in the way.
